Komu Vnyz / КОМУ ВНИЗ - Subotiv / Суботів, Chervona Ruta Festival, 1989

A poignant modern interpretation of Taras Shevchenko's "Subotiv" by Andriy Sereda and the group Komu Vnyz from Kyiv at the Chervona Ruta Festival in Chernivtsi in 1989. "Komu vnyz" is a clever play on the word Kommunizm and means "Those on the way down/out". In 1989 it was certainly a defiant name to have chosen.
