🔥Дамасская Сталь. Нож Из Клапанов Автомобильного Двигателя. Кованый В Огне.

Today I forged a Damascus steel knife from an unusual source — car engine valves. This project was all about creativity, patience, and the challenge of transforming automotive steel into a razor-sharp, functional blade. As a blacksmith, I am always searching for ways to recycle and repurpose tough materials into something beautiful and useful. Engine valves are made of high-quality steel designed to withstand extreme heat and pressure, which makes them a great choice for forging a strong knife. In this video, I show you step by step how I took old valves from a car engine and gave them a second life as a Damascus knife. The process required fire, hammer, and a lot of precision. Forging Damascus steel is never simple — it involves multiple heating, folding, and hammering cycles to create the beautiful wave-like patterns in the blade. By using car engine valves, I added an extra challenge, because the steel is very hard and not easy to weld together.
