Founded in 1736, Jusan-ya is a traditional comb workshop located near Ueno's Shinobazu Pond in Tokyo. In this complete version, we reveal the entire process of crafting a “Tsuge Comb” ― including never-before-seen steps such as Tagazume (tight packing), Kumashi (smoke treatment), and Itakezuri (planing). These steps were not included in our previous video. The result of nearly 5 years of natural drying and careful craftsmanship, each comb is a masterpiece of Japanese traditional technique.
