RESEARCHERS AT THE END OF THE WORLD /Изследователи накрая на света/ - 18.09.2025

This is almost an adventure story about the work of scientists at the Bulgarian base on Livingston Island and their discoveries. Why are the glaciers of Livingston black, what is the reason for the intensive melting of the glaciers, what did the researchers discover under the ice, which is the fastest glacier on the island and what can seismologists say about ice quakes? The work of scientists in Antarctica is not boring at all. Quite the opposite - it is filled with extreme experiences and intriguing discoveries - it requires super quality from scientists and logisticians. How else will you search for ice crevices or dive to study the bottom, whales and fish, or how will you fly with the birds? A team from BNT works side by side with them. Two women - Maria Cherneva and cameraman Anna Andreeva, turn out to be the most prepared to accept the challenges of the icy wasteland and Livingston. The stories from there are breathtaking and ignite curiosity about the world. Director Ara Khougasyan once again enhances the exciting experience among the falling glaciers and the dance of the whales in an incredible way.
