We got a late start, but once we hit the road, everything fell into place. I’d fully charged the bike overnight at a random guesthouse — they hadn’t used their charger in ages, but it still worked like a charm. With 270km of range, I felt ready for anything. Our goal was ambitious: Dingle, Duncan Pier, Corner Pass, waterfalls, maybe even the Cliffs of Moher. The Wild Atlantic Way was glowing in the sunlight — yes, actual sunshine in Ireland — and the coastline roads were some of the best I’ve ridden. Tight corners, epic views, almost no traffic, and just enough charge to make it work. We stopped for lunch in Dingle (fried brie and shepherd’s pie — not bad), wandered down to the edge of the world for a brownie and a chat, and pushed on through the winding cliffs of Corner Pass. Every stop took longer than expected, but that’s the magic of these rides — you never want to rush. I ended the day at an island Airbnb with a half-crumbled castle out back, llamas in the yard, and a plug socket for the bike. That was it — my charge spot for the night. I don’t plan these things in advance. I just go. And it keeps working. It might look like a holiday, but for me, this is what adventure really feels like — quiet moments, wild roads, and enough electricity to chase the next horizon.
