Переработка металлических вешалок в острый дамасский нож – проект Damascus.

🔥 Welcome back to the forge, my friends! In today's video, "Recycling Metal Hangers into a Sharp Damascus Knife – Damascus Project," I’m taking an unusual material — old metal hangers — and transforming them into one of the sharpest Damascus knives I’ve ever made. As a blacksmith and knife maker, I’m always experimenting with creative ways to recycle scrap metal. This time, I wanted to challenge myself by using metal coat hangers, which are generally considered too thin or soft for knife making. But with the right forging technique, careful layering, and a lot of hammering, I was able to forge a razor-sharp Damascus blade that holds a solid edge and looks incredible. 👉 Watch the full process from start to finish — from metal hanger preparation to the mesmerizing pattern revealed during the final etching stage. You'll see every step of my Damascus steel knife making process up close, including: Forging and folding metal hangers into layered billets Fire welding using traditional blacksmithing techniques Grinding and shaping the blade to perfection Heat treating and hardening for edge retention Acid etching to reveal the beautiful Damascus pattern Sharpening and testing the final blade’s performance This project is part of my ongoing Damascus knife series, where I turn unexpected or recycled materials into functional and artistic knives. Forging a blade from something as simple as hangers proves that with the right skills and tools, anything can become a beautiful and deadly blade. ⚒️ Whether you’re into custom knife making, blacksmithing, or just enjoy watching the transformation of raw metal into art, you’ll love this video. I use both modern and traditional forging methods to get the perfect balance of strength and design. #damascusknife #knifemaking #blacksmith #bladesmith #recycledmetal #damascussteel #customknifemaking #handmadeknife #forgingknife #axeandknife #sharpeningknife #knifeforge #knifebuild #sharpknives #blacksmithingproject 💬 Let me know in the comments what material I should try next! I love pushing the limits of what’s possible in my small village workshop. 🔔 Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe if you enjoy my videos. I’m passionate about sharing the ancient craft of bladesmithing and how I blend it with modern knife designs. Every week, I upload new content showing my daily work as a blacksmith in the countryside — forging knives, axes, and tools by hand with fire and hammer. 📍About this channel: I'm a village blacksmith who makes hand-forged knives, axes, and tools from recycled materials. I share my journey on YouTube to inspire knife makers, metalworkers, and anyone who enjoys country life and craftsmanship. If you enjoy DIY knife builds, traditional forging, and knife restoration, this is the channel for you! 📸 Filmed in my rustic village forge, surrounded by nature and tradition. Each knife I make tells a story — and this Damascus hanger knife is no exception. Thanks for watching and supporting the craft! 🔥 Stay sharp, forge strong.
