Узкие улочки вымощены морскими камнями и ракушками. Многочисленные магазины, лавки и кафе занимают первые этажи двухэтажных домиков. Линдос был одним из трёх городов, основанных на Родосе дорийцами в 12 веке до нашей эры. Именно здесь, в Линдосе, располагается второй по величине и значимости Акрополь Греции. Центральный храм Акрополя - храм богини Афины. В Линдосе у богини мудрости была дополнительная «функция»: она защищала моряков. Стремясь задобрить свою покровительницу, мореходы и простые рыбаки приносили в храм Афины богатые дары. Rhodes Island. Greece. And Lindos is an unusual and very beautiful city perched on a cliff. Almost the whole city consists of white-colored houses. Narrow streets are paved with sea stones and shells. Numerous stores, stores and cafes occupy the first floors of the two-storey houses. Lindos was one of the three towns founded on Rhodes by the Dorians in the 12th century BC. It is here, in Lindos, that Greece's second largest and most important Acropolis is located.
