The name Farinella (in the Bari dialect: Farenèdde) is the Apulian mask typical of the Putignano carnival. The current version has him looking like a joker, with a suit made up of multicolored patches and a three-cornered hat (as many as the necks on which Putignano was built), each of which has a rattle.
