She received her vocal education in St. Petersburg – mainly from Veronika Teploukhova, from whom she studied at the music college, and also from Ivan Alekseev at the conservatory (she graduated in 1980). After graduation, she came to Minsk, where she became one of the greatest Belarusian mezzo-sopranos of the 20th century. An intelligent singer with a beautiful voice and high vocal culture. Most of all, Halejeva's talent was revealed in the operas of G. In 1974-81, soloist of the Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg) Opera. In 1981-2013, soloist of the Belarusian Opera (Minsk). Since 2009, he has been teaching at the Belarusian Academy of Music.
